JSES International, a companion title to the respected Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, is an official open access and online-only publication for 11 leading international sub-specialty organizations. The journal focuses exclusively on surgical, medical, and physical techniques for treating injuries and diseases of the upper extremity, including the shoulder girdle, arm, elbow, and proximal forearm.
Clinically oriented and peer-reviewed, JSES International provides an international forum for the exchange of information on new techniques, instruments, and materials. Types of articles that may be submitted to JSES International include: Review articles; Technique articles; Case Reports; National Arthroplasty Registry reports; Validation studies of outcome instruments; Database-Mining articles; and other Original articles.
JSES International features vivid photos, professional illustrations, and explicit diagrams that demonstrate surgical approaches and depict implant devices. Topics covered include arthroplasty, diseases and injuries of the rotator cuff, fractures, dislocations and instability, arthritis, arthroscopy, imaging techniques, and rehabilitation.
